Welcome to Tanasse Chiropractic: A Reintroduction

With the launch of our brand-new website, we thought it was the perfect time to reintroduce ourselves to the Olympia community! For many years (23, to be exact!), Tanasse Chiropractic has been a trusted partner in health and wellness. We’ve been privileged to form amazing, lasting relationships with our patients and community, and we believe that we are truly the sum of these incredible connections.

Tanasse Chiropractic: Meet Our Chiropractors

Our clinic is led by a team of three dedicated chiropractors: Dr. John, Dr. Ryen, and Dr. Olivia.

John Tanasse, D.C. opened this office in 2001. Over two decades later he continues to enjoy working with a spectacular team, serving this community. He takes special interest in the human experience and enjoys and celebrates all the ways that people express their experience of being alive. John loves to laugh (especially at himself and his jokes), and finds healing and hope in doing so. He is curious and relishes a good clinical challenge. Patients keep him on his toes, as he continues to blend traditional skills with a good dose of new. While away, he loves building projects, welding, shellfishing, hiking, walking his dogs, growing dahlias, cooking something southern, and shenanigans with friends and family.

Dr. Ryen Castro, D.C. graduated in 2017 from St. Martin’s University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. In 2020 she received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. She is a native to the small island of Guam. Dr. Castro’s interest in chiropractic began while recovering from a car accident. After receiving chiropractic care and experiencing a holistic approach to healing, she quickly knew this was the career for her. Dr. Castro enjoys meeting people of all walks of life, connecting with them, and sharing their stories. She is passionate about providing a hands-on approach to treatment and healing the whole body. Dr. Castro takes a special interest in treating sports injuries, and assisting with jaw pain. She is passionate about chiropractic and is happy to work with anyone to help them with the symptoms they are experiencing. When she is not in the office, Dr. Castro enjoys being near the ocean, golfing, fishing, and spending time with her family including her new puppy Russo. Dr. Castro looks forward to helping others achieve optimal performance in themselves.

Olivia Tanasse, D.C., a graduate of Life Chiropractic College West, joined the team in 2022. While she enjoys working with patients of all ages and conditions, she brings a particular love and expertise of working with kids, including newborns through adolescents, along with women and pregnancy to our office. You’ll notice her fun and light hearted influence on our office decor with a felt bones and organs board, and our ceiling peppered with gummy skeletons. On a weekend, Olivia finds balance in baking cookies, golfing, walking her Siberian husky, Koda, and hanging with friends and family.

Alongside our exceptional team, we offer a welcoming environment where your health and comfort are our top priorities.
